Building Society Headquarters Accommodation Strategy

AWA have worked with this client for 15 years on a variety of projects which have been associated with introducing Advanced Workplace concepts into the Society.

Following the promotion of a new CEO, the strategy for the use of their Headquarters building  was reviewed and a decision made that the building should become a 'leadership centre', a powerhouse for the growth for the Society with leadership functions from elsewhere being relocated to the building and operational being activities relocated elsewhere.

AWA undertook a study to establish the current headcount of each department, adjacency needs and work profile before classifying each into one of 5 categories from Strategic Leadership to Operational Delivery. A complex model was then created that generated a list of departments in their order of priority for occupation in the Leadership Centre. This model was used by the Board to agree the make-up of the new population in the building.

AWA worked with the Society to determine a space and occupancy strategy for the building along with establishing the needs of a further building to accommodate Call Centre activity in which AWA led the Briefing and Change Management activities.
