Prudential PLC is one of the world's largest financial services providers. Its UK and European Insurance business alone employs 7,400 staff, and serves a customer base of over 7million from 6 key centres in Stirling, Reading, Belfast, London, Dublin and Mumbai. But an increasingly aggressive international market means that to keep its competitive edge, the organisation had to remain lean and innovative.
Prudential Corporate Property provide Property Management and Facilities Management services to the Prudential Group in the UK, delivering workplaces that support its people in meeting their business objectives every day.
Changing market conditions coupled with the conclusion of a number of Facilities supply contracts led the Head of Corporate Property to the conclusion that it would be a good time to review his operation and ultimately re-shape the organisation to address the new business world Prudential was facing.
AWA were selected from a field of 8 companies to carry out a comprehensive review of the existing operation. This review was undertaken over 12 week period involving detailed analysis of Corporate Property?s costs, cost management mechanisms, management practices and salaries. The review included a series of interviews with Strategic Business leaders to ascertain the perception of the current organisation, the contribution the business sought from Corporate Property along with intimate insights into Prudentials business pressures and strategy.
In the Strategy development phase of the project AWA facilitated a series of workshops in which the Corporate Property leadership team understood the results of the study and began to determine the best options for developing their organisation for the future. AWA delivered a final report with recommendations for changes in practices and organisation along with estimated savings.
For a period of 12 months after the review, AWA assisted Prudential in implementing their strategy. AWA supported the Prudential Team in the following activities:
