Our client, a household name in the Credit Card, sector wished to review their workplace and develop a strategy for one of their buildings in the North East of England to establish how they could grow their headcount at the location whilst enhancing the workplace experience for staff.
Following a detailed briefing with the leadership team for the location, AWA proposed a number of studies to enable the creation of the Workplace Strategy which included the following:
- Workplace Utilisation Study involving the client's staff in collecting data over a 2 week period from which a database was generated that enabled the modeling of future occupancy and headcount strategies.
- An on-line Workplace Effectiveness Appraisal which established perceptions of the current workplace along with information on transport arrangements, preferences for new ways of working, IT requirements.
- A series of Business Needs interviews involving all leaders across the businesses located on the site.
- An Infrastructure review that embraced the building it's M&E services, FM arrangements, IT and telephony systems.
AWA undertook a detailed analysis of all data undertaking an early review with our client to share findings and emerging ideas on improving the performance of the space.
Following this AWA modeled a number of workstyle, space planning and headcount scenario's to demonstrate how the space could be made to achieve a substantial improvement in the working experience of staff and accommodate growth in headcount provided a number of upgrades to building services and IT were made.
The results were presented to the Leadership Team of the group who commended AWA's team on an excellent piece of work upon which the organization is acting.
