AWA proudly organises Workplace Week for Children in Need
Workplace Week is a week-long showcase of workplace and workforce innovation held every November to shine a light on the UK’s innovation and to raise money for Children in Need.
The idea for Workplace Week came about 6 years ago when Andrew Mawson (MD, AWA) was watching the Children in Need TV show. He began to wonder if there was a way he could come up with an event with a focus on topics ‘workplace’ for the industry to get involved in and help raise money for a great cause.
“It took me two years to get something going… In 2009 when we started Workplace Week it just consisted of a small number of events. People were so enthusiastic about the idea that every year for the last 4 years we’ve done something bigger and better!” – Andrew Mawson
Through fantastic support from Sponsors and everyone who participated, Workplace Week 2014 raised over £15,000 for Children in Need. The event is fast becoming an absolute ‘must’ in the professional calendar.
Workplace Week 2015 will take place between 9th and 13th November raising money for BBC Children in Need.
This year’s programme will include:
A programme of 90 minute ‘Working Workplace’ tours, visiting some of the UK’s most innovative workplaces
