AWA’s India Chapter
More than 40 million square feet of grade A office space is created every year in India, which demonstrates the huge potential of the country’s dynamic workforce. We aim to share our wealth of knowledge about workplace innovations with local businesses and multinational firms expanding into this space.
By doing so, we can ensure they are best placed to deliver their growth strategies.
Hybrid working in India
Hybrid working does not represent a silver bullet for every business. However, analysis of the latest academic research and our own studies has shown that on average hybrid working employees deliver nearly two extra weeks of work annually for their employer, among a number of other benefits.
Some organisations in India who reneged on promises to retain hybrid working policies after the pandemic have experienced mass resignations. For example, many women left the workforce when hybrid working policies were axed as they could not fulfil family commitments when mandated to work from the office.
