Izabel Barros is a recognized industry expert in change management and is a senior associate at AWA.

She is passionate about enabling global organizations to promote innovation, manage complex change and design work experiences that support people and place through the intersection of innovation, culture, and design.

With a PhD in Strategic Design from the Institute of Design at the Illinois Institute of Technology, she has helped organizations and leaders across the world to envision the evolution of work and implement new work experiences, intellectual capital measurement systems, and manage the resultant change.

A seasoned expert in global projects, Izabel’s work focuses on business, people and place when dealing with the complexities associated with global, local, and corporate cultures. By doing so she helps organizations to improve business results by adapting to challenges in the ever-evolving workplace.

As a consultant, Izabel has led projects worldwide in EMEA, LatAm, APAC, Africa and the US for companies such as Microsoft, ABB, AON, Boeing, Accenture, P&G, Pfizer, Grupo Fleury Labs, Telefonica, Dow Chemical, Corteva, and the city of Rome.

Izabel uses her multilingual capabilities as a regular speaker at innovation and workplace venues around the globe. She is a published author and frequent contributor to real estate, design, innovation and ethnography journals and conferences.
