Making the most of hybrid working

Has your organisation made significant changes to the way it operates post-pandemic?

This is no easy feat – there are lots of things to think about, from the strategic through to the tactical. The devil may be in the details, but fundamentally, if you don’t align the way your organisation works to its overarching vision and purpose, then things can get out of kilter and won’t make sense to the people that work there.

In this week’s episode, we hear from an organisation that has successfully adopted hybrid working. Prior to the pandemic, international health insurance and healthcare group, Bupa, had embraced flexible working across all of its office sites. However, like so many other businesses, it has since adapted to it on a larger scale for their office-based teams.

Karen speaks to Bupa’s Property Director, Neil Jones, who spearheaded the change, to learn about the key considerations, the impact it’s had on the business since 2020, the reaction of staff, and the key challenges and learnings throughout the process.

Karen is also joined by AWA colleague, Clare Danahay, who discusses the process of collecting staff survey data and how we use the results to improve the workplace.

Key speakers:

Neil Jones, Property Director, Bupa UK

Clare Danahay, Senior Associate, AWA
