Actis wanted to improve commute times for its 400 Delhi employees to encourage more office attendance. Commute times were a perennial issue in Delhi due to traffic congestion and sprawling geography. A convenient and accessible office location was key in maintaining in attracting and retaining talent and maintaining its competitive edge.

Office Relocation – Our Solution

We partnered with Actis to evaluate the potential impact of relocating their office to new locations. Our approach began with identifying three candidate locations based on labour market conditions, local amenities, and potential property availability. To support the decision-making process, we deployed our commute analysis tool to model the commuting impact for all employees, comparing the current office location with the three new options.

 

This analysis provided a comprehensive view of the potential commute changes for the workforce, broken down by department, role, and other key demographics. By leveraging these insights, we were able to present a clear picture of how each location would affect employee travel times and accessibility. We delivered the findings in a detailed report, which Actis used to engage their C-level executives and drive informed decision-making regarding future office locations.

The results

Our analysis revealed that one of the candidate locations had the potential to improve the average commute time by 25%, positively impacting over 75% of the workforce. The report was a critical resource for Actis in planning their next steps, ensuring that employee wellbeing and operational efficiency are central to their relocation strategy.
