Paul Janssenswillen
Paul is a process architect, laboratory workplace strategist and life science SME. He is focused on Transformational Laboratory Design & Realisation from an ‘ownership’ culture to a shared asset design based on high performing multi-disciplinary project teams to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of laboratory workplaces.
Paul has a BA in Architecture (RIBA part 1), a post graduate Diploma in Architecture (RIBA part 2) and is a Chartered Architect (RIBA part 3). With over 35 years’ experience, he was an early innovator of flexible labs at GSK and led the project team that delivered Pfizer’s first fully flexible lab in the UK.
Paul has extensive experience in laboratory design and optimization, having built Pfizer’s first flexible lab in North America and redefined Amgen’s global R&D workplaces using Lean Construction and Integrated Project Delivery. He has also supported universities and global life science companies like AZ, Bayer, Moderna, Sandoz and Pfizer in optimizing research facilities and laboratory portfolios, including real-time equipment utilization and occupancy data acquisition across the UK, Europe, and the US.
