Shashidhar Sharma is a senior associate at AWA, leading strategy and change roll-out assignments in India. He is also regularly involved in projects with global mandates.

Shashidhar has more than 30 years’ experience in workplace transformation, real estate and design through his various roles in IRCON, Haworth, Herman Miller, Cushman & Wakefield, and brings a depth of knowledge and insight to assignments by challenging the established norms.

With his keen sense of observation and understanding of human nature, honed through his writings (publishing three books and multiple e-books), he is recognised for developing an immediate connection with people and stakeholders through his considered and consultative approach. He is skilled at understanding the underlying issues and challenges in the workplace, in order to provide right solutions and insights.

Shashidhar is a civil engineer by education, starting his professional journey with Indian Railway Construction (IRCON), building a large infrastructure project in Nepal funded by the World Bank. In the early 90’s, he developed his interest in workplace design and real estate by gaining experience in delivering large design and build projects as well as providing workspace solutions to clients like LinkedIn, Maersk, Mitsubishi, Michelin, Caterpillar, Accenture and many more.

Shashidhar thrives on sharing knowledge. He is a regular speaker on environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG), and climate change across multiple platforms. With his learnings through certified courses from the Universities of Michigan (Climate Change), Pennsylvania (ESG) and Yale (Wellbeing), Shashidhar brings to the table an extensive knowledge of sustainable workplaces and activities required in the organisation to establish standard operating procedures, road map and milestones in ESG, NetZero carbon footprint and workplace wellbeing.
